Jet Skiing in New Jersey

Signing up for your jet ski tour in New Jersey is only the beginning! There are plenty of fantastic jet skiing options for you to explore in NJ. Check out the following list to learn more about the many NJ boroughs & cities where jet skiing is possible.

1. Jet Ski Rentals in Jersey City

Jersey City provides the perfect launching point for any jet ski adventure! The entire eastern waterfront looks out on the Hudson River. Additionally, it provides easy water access to Liberty State Park, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. It also happens to be the closest you can get to Manhattan without actually living in NYC. Explore the waterways as you rev up your jet ski near Jersey City

2. Point Pleasant NJ

Point Pleasant has a long and storied history. In fact, as far back as 1500, it served as a meeting place for the Lenape Native Americans, who referred to it as ‘Land of Tall Timber.’ Fast forward to today, and it’s a beach town that loves the water! A jet ski rental in Point Pleasant NJ will show off Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, along with many other places located right on the water.

3. Seaside Heights NJ

Seaside Heights is a resort community that was made super popular due to its inclusion in the reality show Jersey Shore. Dubbed ‘Your Home for Family Fun Since 1913,’ it features two amusement parks: Funtown Pier and Casino Pier. These piers are part of a larger boardwalk on the sea that spans two miles. Taking a jet ski rental around Seaside NJ enables you to see many islands, including Harbor Island and Pelican Island.

4. Wildwood NJ

Wildwood is known for its boardwalk, which is the 10th most popular boardwalk destination in the country. There are three different piers that operate collectively as Morey’s Piers. Furthermore, its excellent seaside location has led to Wildwood hosting a wide variety of sporting events. Enjoy the sea air as you and your friends ride around Wildwood on New Jersey jet ski rentals!

5. Long Beach Island NJ

As a barrier island, Long Beach Island (LBI) is located between one and two miles away from mainland New Jersey. It serves as the southernmost point of New York’s Metropolitan Area and has been settled since 1690. Surprisingly, LBI has been boardwalk-free since 1944. As such, it typically attracts a more family-oriented crowd than nearby Seaside Heights. The white sand beaches more than make up for the lack of a boardwalk, though. Riding jet ski rentals in LBI New Jersey allows you to go up or down for 18 miles.

6. Avalon NJ

According to Washingtonian, Avalon is the mid-Atlantic’s ‘chicest beach.’ You’re likely to spot women in designer swimwear and diamonds here. This gives the town’s motto, ‘Cooler by a Mile,’ a double meaning. Avalon has provided a home to several notable people, including TV show host Ed McMahon and UConn Huskies coach Geno Auriemma. It also offers several prime opportunities to those riding jet ski rentals in NJ such as the chance to see lots of birds at the Avalon Seawatch, located next to the Townsends Inlet.

7. Cape May NJ

If you want to rent a jet ski in NJ, Cape May is definitely a good option. As one of the oldest resort destinations in the U.S., it provides tons of Cape May diamonds. The city is also known for its many cultural offerings and its Victorian gingerbread homes. Cape May is located near the meeting point of Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, which means that there are tons of jet skiing opportunities!

8. Sea Isle City NJ

Sea Isle City is a smaller town that has a huge tourism boom each summer. With its beach and many festivals, including ‘Sara the Turtle Festival,’ Sea Isle City was able to attract a large number of second homes and vacation homes. This means that it becomes extremely calm and quiet in the wintertime. Of course, you’ll most likely be looking for a jet ski tour of NJ during the summer, so you’ll get to see just how busy this beach town can be!

9. Strathmere NJ

Strathmere is located on Ludlam Island. There are only 137 people that live here year-round, but that hasn’t stopped tourists from discovering its beaches. It also has several connected smaller waterways on the west side, including Strathmere Bay, Whale Creek, and Flat Creek. The Corson Inlet is more likely to capture your attention, though, as jet ski tours in NJ are more likely to go through this route.

10. Stone Harbor NJ

Stone Harbor is an affluent community that has dubbed itself ‘The Seashore at its Best.’ Fewer than 800 people live here all year, but the population balloons to 20,000 people in the summer. Per The New York Times, Stone Harbor is full of “gleaming McMansions and elegant shops.” Taylor Swift summered here until she was 14 and said it was “a pretty magical place to grow up.” Ride past Stone Harbor on a rental jet ski to take in the opulence.
